North Central Ohio, with nine counties included in the region, is physically located in the heart-of-Ohio and is the heart of Ohio's traditional, skilled-manufacturing sector. Tool and die, machining, metal fabrication, printing, pump and machine makers, auto parts, plastics, electronics, food producers... all have successful histories in this region. Manufacturing and farming are the two dominant mainstays of this part of Ohio, resulting in a workforce with a strong work ethic.
Employers and employees enjoy excellent access to technical and advanced education throughout North Central Ohio with 2- and 4-year private and public colleges and universities located close by throughout the area.
North Central Ohio features excellent highway and rail access. Interstate-71, the Ohio Turnpike, U.S. Route 30 and State Route 23 are all major 4-lane highways serving the region. CSX and Norfolk Southern, as well as a number of short-line companies, provide rail support to manufacturers and distributors in the region.
